【上堂學過嘅等高線原來好有用！】

如果你都係畢業多年嘅朋友仔，相信都曾經諗過，究竟中學學過嘅知識係咪日常生活用唔返？

咁諗嘅你就錯喇，好似地理堂教過嘅等高線咁，現實中都好有用。等高線係地圖上連接相同高度地方嘅線。當等高線靠得越近，化表地形越陡峭；等高線相隔較遠，地形就相對平坦。靠住等高線可以睇出地勢嘅變化，例如山丘、山谷同埋平原等等，係行山同埋導航時好有用嘅指標嚟㗎！

【Contour Lines: More Useful Than You Think!】

If you`re like many of us who graduated a while back, you`ve probably wondered if anything you learned in high school ever really matters in real life, right?

Well, guest what? Some of that high school knowledge, like contour lines from your geography class, is surprisingly practical. Contour lines on a map connect places with the same elevation. The closer these lines get, the steeper the land, and when they spread out, it means things are relatively flat. Checking out these lines helps you make sense of changes in the landscape, whether it`s hills, valleys, or plains. Turns out, they`re pretty nifty when it comes to hiking and finding your way around!

【行山見到青竹蛇唔使驚】

青竹蛇有苦，但青竹蛇不說🐍！

九月至十一月行山唔難見到青竹蛇，呢段時間係佢哋出嚟搵嘢食準備過冬嘅活躍期，但佢哋唔係有心咬人㗎！

通常咬人意外嘅發生，係因為青竹蛇匿埋喺草叢之中，人類行過時唔小心騷擾到佢，令佢想自衛而作出反撃。如果路過嘅時候見到唔使擔心，只要等佢行開就OK㗎喇！

【Don’t Worry When You See the Bamboo Pit Viper 🐍!】

The bamboo pit viper might have an intimidating look, but it never has bad intentions🐍!

Between September and November, encountering bamboo pit vipers while hiking is quite common. This is their active season when they venture out to find food and get ready for winter. However, they`re not inclined to bite humans!

In most cases, snake bites occur accidentally because these snakes hide in the grass, and when hikers inadvertently disturb them, they might feel threatened and react defensively. If you happen to spot one during your hike, there’s no need to fret. Just give it some space, and it will move along peacefully!
